I have recently received some loving pushback on my article “What Is Love?”. I expected this, and if you are one of the ones that has shared thoughts in opposition to my writings, know I love you, I am not upset with you, and our relationship can continue in brotherly/sisterly love just the same as before.
With that being said, I have found myself tasked with replying to some of the concerns brought up by my relatives. I may not be able to get to every objection they had, but hopefully I will tackle the most pressing matters, and it will be clear what my stance is on whether truth is objective, or subjective, or a mix of the two. (Hint, it’s a mix of the two.)
Firstly I will be responding to a sermon my sister-in-law shared with me, it is titled “The Danger With ‘Your Truth’” and was posted on YouTube by the channel Life.Church. Here is the link if you are interested in seeing the quotes I use from the message in context:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJEsq4Bfwbk
I will first begin by providing a “key” to how you can follow when the quote is from the pastor, my response, or scripture. All quotes from the message will be in quotation marks ““, all my responses will be in parentheses (), and all scripture will have the chapter and verse numbers preceding the quotation of scripture, which will have no altered punctuation. I will be continuing to use the NRSVUE despite my brother cautioning me against it. I will be looking into it’s origins and it’s key differences from other more respected translations at a later date, and will likely write a blog post detailing my findings at that time. For now, let’s dig into the message.
“There are so many beliefs that sound true, feel true, and are almost true, but are not.”
(That is correct.)
“If you don’t like this it’s probably for you.”
(I don’t appreciate that teaching. My belief is that real sound doctrine will lead our hearts ever closer to a deep knowledge of, and love for, the One Triune God. Yes sometimes these teachings are hard to hear, the disciples once said of Jesus’ teachings “These are hard sayings, who can hear them?” And we echo their words today. However, simply because a teaching makes us uncomfortable is not an indicator of it’s value or accuracy, just as a teaching that makes us comfortable is not an indicator of it’s value or accuracy.)
“Pontius Pilate asked Jesus about truth, saying ‘What is truth?’.”
John 18:37-38 NRSVUE -
Pilate asked him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.” Pilate asked him, “What is truth?”
“Truth is absolute, constant, and true for everyone, everywhere, all the time.”
(My belief is that SOME truths are “absolute, constant, and true for everyone, everywhere, all the time”. Namely, things like laws of nature i.e. the theory of gravity, the laws of thermodynamics etc. As well as truths about God, we know that God does not change, and as will be stated repeatedly [that’s a good thing] Jesus is THE Truth.
However, when it comes to personal lived experience I believe truth enters a grey area. We cannot always trust our experiences, as our minds have the ability to confuse us. There are many people who are afflicted with mental health disorders such as Schizophrenia, Dissociative Identity Disorder, and many more, that present our brains with delusions. Now consider this, are those delusions true? are those delusions real? My answer would be yes and no. They are true and real in the sense that they were genuinely experienced by a human being, however, they are also classified as not true or real as they do not match the reality of truth the rest of us observe in the world.
Some say “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” I would say that often, “Truth is in the eye of the beholder.” What do I mean by that? I mean that the most genuine, real form of truth, is experience. “But Strawberry!” You cry, “Truth is objective! You said it yourself at the beginning!” Yes. For, though the most genuine, real form of truth is experience, the most genuine, real, and true experience, is God’s experience. God is a being. God has experienced the nothing that existed before he created all things, and he has experienced every thing that has transpired since creation. In a way, you could say “God has experienced all things humans have experienced, for God is all-knowing. He sees into peoples hearts and minds, knows their innermost thoughts. What is that but not an experience?”)
“Do not confuse truth with perspective. When the two are confused, we begin to think truth is subjective.”
(Perspective is truth. With the ultimate, objective truth, being God’s perspective.)
“Your truth is unique to you, you get to decide.”
“Speak your truth, live your truth.”
“What if ‘your truth’ is a trap”
(We have to be careful when saying these things to consider what people MEAN when they SAY “My truth”. For example, My truth as Strawberry Lemon, is that I am a transgender woman, an identity that is just as real and valid as a cisgender' woman’s womanhood. My relatives see that “truth” as a trap. You do genuinely get to decide what is true about you within certain limits. My truth is also that I am an artist. We can see that is the case because I create art, whether that be paintings or songs, I create art, and have for the last 10 years. My identity as an artist is valid because it is clearly, physically observable that I have, and do create art. In the same way, my transgender identity is valid in that it is clearly, physically observable that I am medically transitioning from a male to a female. You may not believe that kind of transition is possible, but whatever is possible is observable. You cannot deny my trans identity simply because you don’t like it, it makes you uncomfortable, or even because you believe it is in defiance of God. It remains, an observable fact.
I would also like to add, that though my transition is visible and valid. The transgender identities of those who are not pursuing medical or social transition are also valid. “But Strawberry, you just said your identity is valid because it is physically observable.” Sure, but, as I also said, “perspective [which could also be called {identity}] is truth.”)
“This feels right, this seems right.”
Proverbs 14:12 NRSVUE -
There is a way that seems right to a person,
but its end is the way to death.
(Yes. This is clearly a biblical teaching. Think on this though. Scripture declares “There is a way that seems right to a person” I take this to be applicable to all people, that there is a way that seems right to EVERY person, and what seems right to each of them is the way to death. So with that in mind let’s be slow to judge others and point at what we perceive as the way leading to their death, because we very well may be walking down our own way of death in the mean time.)
“Just because you believe something doesn’t make it true… (for example)… They thought the earth was flat, then they discovered it was round, and now some people say it’s flat again.”
(People will say this but not apply it to themselves. When they disagree with someone they judge them and say “just because you believe it doesn’t make it true!” But not look at their own lives, their own beliefs and genuinely seek out if their beliefs are true. I am seeking to find out if each of my beliefs are true, which is exactly why so many are changing! There is a lot of propaganda in the church, some of it originating in the ‘80s, a lot of it originating much earlier, and most of the people in my life believe several extra-biblical teachings that are not supported by scripture, and certainly not supported by science/nature/”God’s created order”.)
“Your perspective matters, what you experienced matters, it’s real, and you should be able to tell your story. However, what you experience isn’t absolute truth.”
(I agree that our experiences are not absolute truth. They are in fact subjective truth, as not all truth is absolute. I appreciate that this pastor is saying that each of our stories should be told, but does he really believe that? Does he want the story of my transition to be told? Or does that story not matter?)
“The world says ‘Follow your heart, it will lead you to the truth.’”
Jeremiah 17:9 NRSVUE -
The heart is devious above all else;
it is perverse—
who can understand it?
(This verse is speaking of the sinful heart, the heart that has not been redeemed by the blood of Christ, and the mind that has not been renewed. Here are some verses I would add to combat the idea that all our desires come from the heart, and the heart is perverse, so all our desires are wrong.)
Romans 12:2 NRSVUE -
Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Luke 6:44-45 NRSVUE -
for each tree is known by its own fruit. For people do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a bramble bush. The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil, for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.
2 Corinthians 5:17 NRSVUE -
So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; look, new things have come into being!
(These verses say that in Christ all old things have passed away, we are a new creation, we can be transformed by the renewing of the mind, can know what is good and acceptable and perfect, and that the good person out of the abundance of good treasure of the heart produces good. Notice that Jeremiah is an old testament book, and speaks of the flesh being “devious above all else” [some translations say “deceitful”] Yet in three new testament books we read both Paul and Jesus say that in Christ those who are redeemed can produce good works out of their heart. For this new heart they speak of is a heart after God’s own heart, just as king David’s was.)
“Your feelings lie!”
(This is false. Feelings are not lies. Feelings are largely dictated by chemicals in the brain and body, particularly the concentrations of serotonin, dopamine, and cortisol. So I would say feelings are mostly physical, though I do believe they can also be largely effected by our spiritual state as well. For example, when I experience gender euphoria, is that feeling a lie? No obviously not, it is due to a higher concentration of dopamine in my brain at perceiving my body representing my womanhood. The feeling is not a lie. You can say that the reasoning that I use to decipher what that emotion means about myself is clouded by deception. That argument I would be more appreciative of, as there is a verse in proverbs that warns against mankind’s reasoning.)
Proverbs 3:5-6 NRSVUE -
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths
(However, this does not mean we are not called to reason or use our brains! God has gifted us with the ability to reason, so let’s use it. Let us not RELY on our own insight, but rely on the leading of the Spirit, and rely most of all on Scripture.)
Proverbs 2:1-6 NRSVUE -
My child, if you accept my words
and treasure up my commandments within you,
making your ear attentive to wisdom
and inclining your heart to understanding,
if you indeed cry out for insight
and raise your voice for understanding,
if you seek it like silver
and search for it as for hidden treasures—
then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
Daniel 1:3-4 NRSVUE -
Then the king commanded his palace master Ashpenaz to bring some of the Israelites of the royal family and of the nobility: young men without physical defect and handsome, versed in every branch of wisdom, endowed with knowledge and insight, and competent to serve in the king’s palace; they were to be taught the literature and language of the Chaldeans.
Ephesians 1:7-9 NRSVUE -
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and insight he has made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ,
Philippians 1:9-10 NRSVUE -
And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you to determine what really matters, so that in the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless,
“Are there are no absolute truths that apply to all people?”
(That’s not what I nor most people who believe in any amount of relative truth believe. I doubt there are any that believe that the theory of gravity is a subjective truth that does not apply to all people. Some say “2 + 2 = 5” but I believe they are simply saying this to be provocative and do not actually believe it. As I was saying earlier, when God spoke things into existence he fulfilled his vision/view/perspective of what ought to exist and not exist. God’s perspective is absolute truth and applies to all people, human perspectives are subjective truths and apply only to ourselves. When the two are in opposition, when God’s perspective and human perspective don’t align, God’s truth trumps our human truths every time. However, I believe God has been gracious to give humans free will, and space to construct our own rules that both govern society and our own lives.)
“Morality becomes subjective because right and wrong are relative.”
(So far we have spoken about experience/perspective defining truth, now we will tackle the subject of morality. There are some who go one step further than I do and say “objective morality does not exist, all attempts to enforce one code of morality on all people are simply human, social constructs.” These people identify as moral nihilists. A dear sister-in-law of mine is one of these, and as I was speaking to her about what moral nihilism means to her, I was surprised at the sense I saw in the teachings of this school of thought. I will need to continue to research this philosophy and will likely make a blog post in the future detailing how Christians can apply a few key truths held by those of the moral nihilistic persuasion, while also explaining it’s pitfalls and how ultimately, though supported by today’s scientific understanding, the majority of these beliefs are not supported by scripture. When science and scripture are in contest we must look at both and determine if they truly are incompatible, but when we find they are truly in profound disagreement we must have faith and trust in the inerrant truth of scripture, not the errant understanding of mankind.
Another key distinction between moral nihilists and amoral nihilists is that the first believes that, though morality is a social construct, it is often a good one that must be upheld for the health of society. The second, amoral nihilists, believe that we should not let any code of morality dictate our actions, this is an incredibly fringe belief, very few hold it. I would say my stance is that there is an objective moral framework given to us by God that we all must live by, and will ultimately be judged by. These moral governances were first written most succinctly by God as the Ten Commandments, which he gave as, the Law, to Moses and the Jews, but were later shortened by Jesus to the Two Great Commandments: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. The second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself, on these hang all the law and the prophets.”
I believe that the Two Great Commandments ought to guide the leaders of our nations, and our lawmakers, but that they also must consider how they feel lead to apply these commandments. The most simple law, upheld by nearly all cultures across all time is: Do Not Murder. This is clearly in accordance with the second Great Commandment as it is obviously not loving of our neighbors to murder them. The Christian would say that this law being present in nearly all societies on the planet Earth is proof of God’s Law being written on our hearts, as we are made in the image of God, and have been given a conscience that has the ultimate goal of leading us to salvation through faith in Christ. The moral nihilist would say that this law being present in nearly all societies is proof that morality is a social construct developed by evolutionary biological adaptations, i.e. our ancestors that acted in moral ways cooperated best and formed the most effective communities and therefore survived longer and more often than those who did not act in moral ways. Due to surviving longer these morally minded communities had more chances to pass on their genes to future generations, and with each generation society became more morally upright.
I believe that both arguments can be true simultaneously. The Law of God is written on our hearts, however due to free will we do not always obey the Law of God, and therefore, those that did not obey God’s Law as regularly as our forefathers did, did not survive long enough to multiply. As a result of the more morally upright early humans surviving longer and multiplying more frequently, humanity experienced a micro-evolution leading to progressively more moral societies. I must say though, I am not claiming with certainty that some humans have more morality encoded in their DNA than other humans, I believe that may be possible, but I certainly wouldn’t say that is the ultimate answer here, that belief could very easily lead to racism, sexism, and classism. I would say the more likely reality is that moral societies grew in numbers and passed their codes of morality onto their children and grandchildren through recitation of Oral Traditions.)
Here are some verses on morality that I believe support my argument:
Psalm 37:30-31 NRSVUE -
The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom,
and their tongues speak justice.
The law of their God is in their hearts;
their steps do not slip.
Jeremiah 31:33 NRSVUE -
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Hebrews 8:13 NRSVUE -
In speaking of a new covenant, he has made the first one obsolete, and what is obsolete and growing old will soon disappear.
Romans 2:14-15 NRSVUE -
When gentiles, who do not possess the law, by nature do what the law requires, these, though not having the law, are a law to themselves. They show that what the law requires is written on their hearts, as their own conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts will accuse or perhaps excuse them
Deuteronomy 4:40 NRSVUE -
Keep his statutes and his commandments, which I am commanding you today for your own well-being and that of your descendants after you, so that you may long remain in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
Proverbs 3:1-2 NRSVUE -
My child, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
for length of days and years of life
and abundant welfare they will give you.
Proverbs 10:27 NRSVUE -
The fear of the Lord prolongs life,
but the years of the wicked will be short.
“Our culture says ‘my perception determines what’s true’. ‘I am the source of truth’. ‘If it’s true to me, you can’t question “my truth”’ Paul warned us about these beliefs 2000 years ago inspired by the holy spirit in 2 Timothy 4:2-4.”
2 Timothy 4:2-4 NRSVUE -
proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage with the utmost patience in teaching. For the time is coming when people will not put up with sound teaching, but, having their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own desires and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander away to myths.
(I think these verses are a powerful warning to all of us. It is easy to look across the aisle at other denominations and say “you’re just accumulating teachers that suit your own desires!” and not look at our own intentions in choosing a faith community. I believe each of us is prone to choosing to listen to what we want to hear, and we all most work to combat these natural tendencies. For many of us we want to hear whatever affirms what we were raised to believe, and many others of us want to hear whatever opposes wat we were raised to believe. We must each of us be searching the scriptures, praying that God will give us wisdom, and following his teachings, beginning with what is made most clear to us in his Word and by the revelation of his Spirit, and working outward to what is less clear.)
“Our culture says ‘I can do whatever I want with my body, it’s mine.’ No, your body belongs to God, holy and set apart for the glory of God.”
Romans 12:1 NRSVUE -
I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, on the basis of God’s mercy, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable act of worship.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NRSVUE -
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.
(For those that are married these next verses also apply.)
1 Corinthians 7:3-4 NRSVUE -
The husband should give to his wife what is due her and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; likewise, the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
Ephesians 5:21-22 NRSVUE -
being subject to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, be subject to your husbands as to the Lord
Ephesians 5:29 NRSVUE -
In the same way, husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself
(These verses speak to husbands and wives, but I believe they also apply to same-sex spouses. The distinction of husband and wife does not strike me as important, a husband and husband, or wife and wife, or non-binary spouse and non-binary spouse, can all take the same life lessons from these verses. Dedicate your bodies both to God and to your spouse, love your spouse as your own flesh, and glorify God in your bodies.
Most Christians would believe that in medically transitioning I am taking control of my body in a way that does not glorify God and is in opposition to his created order. I, of course, do not hold this belief. In fact I believe the exact opposite, that my transition does glorify God, for when I am the most happy with the body he has given me, and the ways that the introduction of a second puberty are developing it, as I praise him for the good gift of Hormone Replacement Therapy, he is glorified.)
“What you experience doesn’t make you who you are.”
(Yes it does.)
“If the power of God can raise Jesus it can raise you from your sin and rescue you from that which besets you.”
(Amen.)
“The truth isn’t just something we believe, the truth is someone we follow.”
(Amen.)
John 14:6 NRSVUE -
Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
“What is Jesus? he’s not a way, a truth, or a life, he is the way, the truth, and the life.”
(Amen.)
“People don’t mind the love of Jesus. They don’t like his exclusivity.”
(His exclusivity is a lot less exclusive than many believe. His exclusivity is, in fact, loving for many reasons.)
“Anyone who claims to know the truth is either arrogant, dangerous or both.”
(Says the man claiming to know the truth.)
(I feel like this pastor is at times intending to make the truth sound like a scary thing. But it’s not! The gospel is “the good news”. The truth of Jesus sacrifice on the cross, the truth of his resurrection, the truth of the salvation he freely offers to all, is not scary. It is beautiful. It will set us free.)
John 8:31-32 NRSVUE -
Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
“Here’s the one sentence message for application: If Jesus’ truth is different from what you believe, then die to ‘your truth’ and live according to THE truth.”
(I am in complete agreement with this message for application.)
“If I am doing something that is not God’s will, I am lying, selfish, and full of pride.”
(True.)
“If you think I’m mean, or judgmental, I’m not.”
(Well…)
“If you’ve been coming to the same church for a year and no one has stepped on your toes, the truth isn’t being preached.”
(Okay, that’s just absurd. The love that we as Christians are called to have for each other is not compatible with “stepping on people’s toes”. Your level of discomfort in hearing a message is not directly tied to the measure of it’s truth.)
“If my ‘needs’ or my ‘desires’ are in contention with the Truth, I die to them, and rise in truth and grace.”
Luke 9:23-24 NRSVUE -
Then he said to them all, “If any wish to come after me, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will save it.”
Philippians 4:19 NRSVUE -
And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 55:22 NRSVUE -
Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved.
1 Peter 5:7 NRSVUE -
Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.
“We confess our need to you, we acknowledge we’re sinful, help us to do your will.”
“If you have been made new, you want to please God. Pray that if you are doing something that is contrary to God’s truth, confess, repent, and live in truth.”
“Heavenly father, show me truth, I’m open, if I am disobeying, and am dishonoring you, help me to live the truth, if my truth is different than the truth, I confess my sins. I want to honor you in all that I do, help me know the truth, help me live the truth, in the power of the Spirit.”
(These are wonderful prayers and I deeply resonate with them.)
“When we repent of our sins God forgives us. Grace is you can come, Truth is you NEED to come!”
1 John 1:9 NRSVUE -
If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Isaiah 55:7 NRSVUE -
let the wicked forsake their way
and the unrighteous their thoughts;
let them return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Acts 2:38 NRSVUE -
Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
(Some in my life believe I believe only what I like, that I pick and choose scripture to believe, and what to get rid of. I tell you this, the truth of Hell, the truth of eternal damnation, fills me with pain for those that God has condemned. Yet I believe, for it is VERY clear that there is a Hell, God does condemn, and MANY will go there.)
That is my complete response to the sermon shared to me by a relative, now I will quickly answer some questions she personally asked me:
“How do you define truth? What truths would you define as relative or absolute?”
(This has been answered very thoroughly at this point.)
“Would you say God’s word is inerrant/true?”
(I believe what these verses have to say about the truth of the scriptures [meaning, yes I do believe that God’s word is true.])
Psalm 12:6 NRSVUE -
The promises of the Lord are promises that are pure,
silver refined in a furnace on the ground,
purified seven times.
John 17:17 NRSVUE -
Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.
2 Peter 1:20-21 NRSVUE -
First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, because no prophecy ever came by human will, but men and women moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
2 Timothy 3:16 NRSVUE -
All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
“How does the Bible define truth?”
(I would say the verses I just cited proclaim how the Bible defines truth, and to them I will add one more passage.)
John 1:14 NRSVUE -
And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth.
“How does Satan distort truth?”
(He often distorts truth by questioning the words of God. Here are some examples:)
Genesis 3:1-5 NRSVUE -
Now the serpent was more crafty than any other wild animal that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God say, ‘You shall not eat from any tree in the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden, nor shall you touch it, or you shall die.’ ” But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not die, for God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Matthew 4:5-11 NRSVUE -
Then the devil took him to the holy city and placed him on the pinnacle of the temple, saying to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written,
‘He will command his angels concerning you,’
and ‘On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.’ ”
Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ ”
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, and he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! for it is written,
‘Worship the Lord your God,
and serve only him.’ ”
Then the devil left him, and suddenly angels came and waited on him.
(And lastly, my relative asks:)
“How can we as believers know what is truth vs. a lie?”
(I believe that, because it is clear that scripture is the ultimate source of objective truths, when there is a teaching that says something in opposition to scripture we, as believers, would be right in calling that a lie.)
Now, as we have come to the end of this post, I would like to remind you all of my desire that if I have written untruths that you would not be deceived, and that you will apply your own understanding to the scriptures I have given to support my arguments. You may even find that you believe the scriptures I am using to support my argument are actually in direct opposition to my argument! In any case, if you’ve read this entire post and are reading this, I deeply appreciate it. I know that my perspective and beliefs are deeply uncomfortable for most of you to hear, so thank you for exposing yourself to my teachings, I pray that God leads each of your hearts to the truth he has for you.
With Love, and Sincerely, Strawberry Lemon.
